Olympia: Sportschützer Beer misses medal in the KK-Dreisaufung

Jolyn Beer (Lochtum) has just settled past the first medal of the German sports shooters at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The 27-year-old Sportsoldatin occupied the sixth place in the final in the KK three-position fight on Saturday with 417.8 rings.

"I'm really very satisfied with six place. It was important for me not to escape as seventh or eighth," Beer said, "My lying was too bad at the end to land well." Gold went to the Swiss Nina Christen (463.9) in the addition of knee, lying and standing attacks (463.9) in front of Russians Julia Sykowa (461.9) and Julia Karimova (450.3).

Beer shot at the beginning of the final on gold course. In the kneeling stop, they presented with two strong series, but made a first outlier down (9.6) before changing to the lying stop. Nevertheless, Beer took place at the beginning of the second position.

Beer had greater problems in lying shooting. Overall, she made three shots below ten rings and fell back on the sixth place. In the stationary stop, she no longer picked up the residue. In the qualification Beer had previously underpinned three of their medal ambitions. In Rio Barbara had won engleder in the three-performance champion gold, directly afterwards the Lower Bayer finished her career.

The German sports shooters must also wait for their first precious metal before the last two competition days in the Asaka Shooting Range. The last hopes carry Rio-Olympic champion Christian Reitz and Oliver Geis on Monday with the Quick Fire Pistol.
