Microsoft Flight Simulator: World Update 6 Only on September 7

To ensure that the World Update 6 for the Microsoft Flight Simulator achieves a very high level of quality, the developers have decided to postpone the publication date on September 7, 2021. The update will include many improvements, including new aerial images and height cards, new photogrammetry cities, four handmade airports, nearly 100 new points of interests, other discovery flights, land challenges and bush trips.

Highlights from the version information on World Update 6:

STABILITY

  • Several crashes were fixed throughout the title

NAVIGATION

  • The ATC radar height has been corrected so that the ATC no longer prompts you to change the height if it is not true. - The VFR card now displays information for latitudes above 75 degrees. - The new AIRAC cycle 2108 is now available.

ACTIVITY

  • Fixed crash when saving in bus travel missions if the user has a non-ASCII name.

2014 FIFA World Cup™ | OFFICIAL TV Opening Aircraft

  • SR22 performance and fuel consumption have been changed to better match the POH -Gyro Drift is now set correctly if the default for aircraft system support is light / medium / heavy.

WORLD

  • The graphics settings Offscreen Terrain Pre-Caching have been added (low, medium, high and ultra). When setting Ultra, the full quality offscreen area is cached in full quality, reducing FPS slumps and LOD poppings when swinging the camera, but can affect the overall performance. The result is that the photogrammetry of buildings in the city center is visible from a larger distance.

VR

  • The title does not fall off if the simulation is finished in VR - various corrections on the tutorial: Briefings and Debrifs are now displayed correctly, players can now complete all goals in VR.

SDK
