SWITCH OLED: Nintendo revises the screen of its console | OLED

In his communiqué, Nintendo France even baptizes "Switch (OLED model)". However, it is not the long-awaited revolution of a slightly more powerful and 4K compatible console as some sources have been advancing for several months on the SWITCH PRO.

Nintendo Switch OLED will be launched on October 8 at the announced price of 359 euros.

In place Nintendo promises to offer a console whose screen will enjoy OLED technology, already viewed on high-end smartphones, but also on Sony's famous PS Vita. The idea being to offer superior image quality in terms of colorimetry and contrasts. In addition, the screen stretches 7 inches diagonal (17.78 cm) against 6.2 inches (15.7 cm) for the classic switch released in March 2017.

The OLED switch presents with a new color remedy on the white, and with a new dock at the borough edges to connect the console to the TV. Another important detail, the rear support that unfolds to play the console on a table will also be the length of the console to ensure more stability, unlike the small crutch proposed by the original Switch model.

Finally, the SWITCH OLED will embark 64 GB of internal memory, compared to 32 for the classic version. Even if this memory remains extensible with a compatible microSD card.

Already pre-order at some resellers, the selling price posted is 359 euros, or about 60 euros more than the classic version always posted at 299 euros. Nintendo does not have a price drop for the time.
