BlizzCon: Plans for BlizzConline discarded in February 2022; New concept for the event wanted
Blizzard Entertainment has completely exposed the planning for the blizzConline (online replacement event for the physical blizzCon) for the beginning of 2022. According to Blizzard, internal restructuring would be too expensive for the numerous scandals, lawsuits and recruitments in recent months. The organization of a BlizzConline is too complex in the context and too exhausting. Although no BlizzConline will take place in February 2022, there will continue to give announcements and news about Blizzard games. Rather, they would also have to worry about the future of the event.
Blizzard: At the present time, we believe that the energy we would have to spend on such an event, best in support of our teams and the further development of our games and experiences should flow.
